On 14th of February, while the nation was mesmerized in Valentine’s trance, JeM trained and infatuated terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar used a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device to kill at least 44 CRPF Jawans while targeting 70 bus convoy.

Nations across the globe expressed their grief and sent their condolences to the Government of India. United Nations Security Council adopted a unanimous resolution condemning the dastardly attack and calling for responsibles to be brought to justice. GOI did a fantastic job at diplomatic level to isolate Pakistan both regionally and globally. USA’s statement mentioned Pakistan being a safe haven for terrorists, while Iran which was angered over killing of it’s Revolutionary Guards ( by terrorists harboured in Pakistan ) expressed solidarity with India. All the Nations expressed their willingness to fight the global menace of Terrorism.

The narrative of current dispensation piqued Indian public opinion easily swayed by Nationalistic media and upcoming General Elections almost made a heavy retaliation inevitable. As expected Indian Air Force on 26th of February carried out a preemptive airstrike on terror camps across the Line Of Control on the Pakistani side. IAF’s Mirage 2000 fighter jets pounded terror camps in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakoti allegedly resulting in 300+ terrorist casualties and destroying JeM terrorist camps and launchpads.

As expected Nation went into exhilaration and jubilation while forgetting that just thirteen days ago India had lost 44 of its bravehearts, an irreparable loss. Only the family of bereaved would understand the gravity of grave ramifications that it would produce on their loved ones.

On the expected lines, Pakistani Air Force tried to violate Indian Airspace using F16 American Falcons when it engaged in a dogfight and was chased down the LOC by Indian Air Force. But unfortunately India’s Mig21 was attacked by Pakistani Air Defense systems and Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan ejected and landed in Pakistani controlled territory. Surviving angry mob, he was taken to nearby Military installation by Pak army officers

All the channels and cretin folks glorifying war froze and earnestly prayed for his return. The government of India demanded Abhinandan’s unilateral and unconditional release. In accordance with the Geneva Convention of which India and Pakistan both are signatories,” Countries must release Prisoner Of War, even if war has not been declared by any one of the countries “. Although Pakistan used this moment to portray its peaceful image, calling it a peace gesture ( which it wasn’t )

While free from cacophonic debate and perspectives, our aim is to achieve such levels of human consciousness and intellect, so that borders become obsolete. But until then we need Defense forces to safeguard us from such threats challenging our sovereignty and integrity. But is WAR the solution, I leave it upon you to contemplate.
